The UETDRMP010 and HLTAID009 course set provides essential first aid training tailored specifically for those working in the electricity supply industry. This combination equips participants with both general life-saving skills and specialised knowledge required for responding to incidents in electrical environments. Learners are trained to assess hazards, ensure site safety, and deliver effective first aid to casualties affected by electric shock, burns, or trauma related to electrical work.
Through practical, hands-on training, participants gain competence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), using an automated external defibrillator (AED), and responding to breathing and circulation emergencies. They also learn to manage injuries such as bleeding, fractures, heat-related illness, and shock, with specific focus on risks associated with high-voltage equipment, confined spaces, and outdoor work environments. Emphasis is placed on maintaining personal and team safety, effective use of PPE, and accurate communication with emergency services.
These first aid courses are ideal for lineworkers, field technicians, and other personnel operating within the energy sector. It reinforces the ability to act decisively in high-risk, time-critical situations and ensures participants are prepared to respond in line with both general first aid protocols and the unique demands of electrical industry settings. Completion of this training supports compliance with industry safety standards and enhances workplace readiness for emergency scenarios.
