Course Description
This government-approved child protection training course is essential for educators, childcare workers, healthcare professionals, and community service staff who have a duty of care to children and young people. It meets mandatory child protection training requirements under relevant state and territory legislation and protocols.
The course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to:
- Recognise signs of abuse and neglect, including emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, neglect, domestic and family violence, and child-on-child abuse.
- Respond appropriately and provide support to children and young people at risk.
- Apply child protection principles considering age, gender, disability, culture, and sexuality.
